Owner only went down on one knee instead of laying down.

Perp began to load loot from the safe while turning and looking back as he held the gun on the owner.

Perp stopped and tried to put tie wrap on owner and during a mild struggle, shot owner through and through from butt to front thigh.

Owner began to bleed heavily (on blood thinner meds)

Perp began to leave, turned back and pointed gun at owner just as owner pulled a .357 Colt Trooper from behind the counter.

Owner shot perp several times COM with the .357! Two hollowpoints pass through the perp and break the front store windows.
Perp still gets to the front of the store and ducks down behind the front counter.

Owner retrieves a semi (Bersa?) .45ACP and shoots perp several more times.
Perp still manages to crawl through broken front door glass and collapses on the sidewalk.

EMS rushes perp to hospital and he lives to face trial.

Owner rearms and upgrades security again. (He'd been robbed 12 days before.)

Take note:
Four or five COM shots with .357 and .45ACP and perp remains active and doesn't die.

To this day some people do not believe in zombies!

I rest my case!

Depends on who is making the claim. It could be the news agency put that in, and if so they deserve all the ridicule that can be heaped upon them.

However, if that's the victim talking, I'll cut them some slack. When you're under that type of stress you just don't know how your brain will work. When I was robbed at gunpoint the first time in the store, I was totally focused on the gun the guy was pointing at me, 6 inches from my torso. When they asked me to describe him, I got height, weight, skin color, and that's it. I had just spent 5 minutes talking to him about a stereo (while he waited for another customer to leave) and I couldn't have picked him out of a lineup. But I could tell them he had a semi-auto, and on reflection it was small; probably a .25 or a .32. But it sure looked a lot bigger when it was happening.

Haven't you ever watched the news?
According to Diane Feinstein any GUN is an assault rifle. Even a Daisy BB gun!

She is quoted as saying: If I had the clout I'd tell all gun owners "turn 'em all in." She one of the few privileged San Franciscans who has a CCW. To set an example she turned in a cheap throwaway and kept her quality piece.

Aside from all the jokes (which I'm enjoying), please pass on to the store owner the wishes of all on this forum that he fully recovers, and that he deserves a medal for standing up to evil. I think it's a fair assumption that I can speak for all of us on this.

I read a story just yesterday whose headline was something like:

"Man has AK-47 Bullet gun removed from his head." I KID you not.

BG came up on wrong side of RR tracks and was thrown out of school because he supported the second where he pointed his finger like a gun at the teacher. Store owner gets sued for excessive force. BG owns store and exstore owner goes on welfare with baby momma.
