On H2 they're shooting and comparing M1, M14, and the Mosin Nagant. If anyone is still up, thought you might want to know. It started at 11.

I had enough training with the M1 Garand in the Infantry. Love the old rifle. Still have one. M14 came on the scene later.

The show is called Top Guns. It's the sister show of Top Shot and hosted by Colby.

It is light on hard facts and obviously geared toward the average non-expert. It's still fun to watch though thanks to the high speeds of the guns firing.

They had a "Top Guns" marathon last night, I watched a few of them, even though I had seen them before. The show was decent.

The one in question was the M1 Carbine vs M14 vs Mosin Nagant, which I thought was an odd combo.

Closer comparison would have been SKS vs M1 Garand vs M14

Maybe they didnt include both M14 and M1 Garand because they are so similar.

The carbine is a great little weapon for what it was designed to do but comparing the M1 carbine to the M14 is like comparing a hand grenade to a round from a 155.

If you try to get picky about their gun choices, you won't enjoy the show. They showcase guns that appeared on Top Shot and/or earn them money from sponsors. For example, all the shotguns on the Shotgun episode were Benellis.

Maybe even an SVT40, M1, M14 at least this way they are all semi auto box fed. But where'd they come up with the Nagant? One of these is not like the other.....

Seen it. They totally disrespected the M1 Carbine!
I have a Standard Products carbine and love it, it's my primary go to gun when things go bump in the night!
The 14 is a great piece, but I prefer the FAL! And those Nagants are a lot of fun.
I'd would have loved to see them put the old Springfield '03 out there though! Dale
