Default This is True Love

The Lovely Missus P&R Fan and I had a minor tiff this afternoon. I had to run a quick errand. As I'm walking out the door she hollered "Jerk!"
Being the mature Husband I am, I refrained from retorting back. She called me a few minutes later and apologized. Said she normally waits till I'm out of earshot before she yells that.
That's TRUE Love.
Jim

Funny story all to real.

However, you didn't mention what you said when you were out of earshot.

If the frau calls me a jerk I know I'm doing my job. If there's an explicit adj. before it I might be doing my job too well.

I usually encourage my honeypie to use more descriptive language. She does a really nice job of that! And I always kiss her before I go. It usually ticks her off a bit more......

A REAL man would have brought flowers back from the errand with a note from the "JERK".

Kanew, the trick is not to bring home flowers after a tiff; it's to bring them home for no reason at all. Unless that will make her think there IS a reason and she just doesn't know about it yet. Hmmm... I may need to think that one over a bit more.

Never mind. What do I know. I've been divorced for 20 years.

Carry on.

I had already bought her a carnation earlier in the day. This is a common occurance at our house. I buy them on a regular basis, for no other reason than I'm a sweetheart.
I'm on a first-name basis with the ladies at the flower shop at the grocery store.
