Hey all, I've been wondering this for some time now, and apparently IMFDB does not have an entry for the movie "Four Rooms." I'm curious as to which model DA revolver is in the second part of this four part movie. A funny addition to this, is that in the fourth part of the movie, the bell-hop/main character is telling someone on the phone that he was held at gunpoint, and when asked if it was a .357 or .44 magnum, he just says "I don't know I'm not a gun guy" lol. I've always just assumed it's a model 29 .44 magnum, but I've always suspected it might also be a model 27 or 28 .357. Can any of you experts tell from this screenshot? Or is there anyone out there that knows this movie and just happens to know which model it is? My curiosity will greatly appreciate any feedback :)

I think it's a Model 28 with six-inch barrel. The taper of the barrel precludes a M-57 or M-29, and the dull finish suggests a 28, as does the ramp front sight.

You can get a good view of a four-inch M-28 as the deputies gun down Nicole Eggert's bad girl character in, "Blown Away" if you buy that DVD. Be aware that the movie is Rated R for cause, if you are especially conservative. That role got Nicole fired from, 'Baywatch" for being too sexy onscreen. Personally, I think the producers just wanted to get rid of her because she and Pam Anderson had a rivalry and both blondes were after David Charvet. Nicole's character in that film was armed with two Beretta 92's or the Taurus equivalent, BTW.

It looks like a 6" (not 6 1/2") N frame with a full profile barrel, not tapered like a 27/28. Does not appear pinned, but gets blurry when I try to zoom it. 29, 57?

Texas Star, if you can see the taper, your eyes or your computer are better than mine.

Both are possible, but I also used a magnifying glass. :) Look especially right ahead of the frame.

Maybe just a generic S&W N frame dummy prop gun. Die cast metal, rubber or other material.
There are some Japanese made ones that are amazingly realistic. Blank firing, full markings, ect. But they sometimes still vary in small details that the real models have. A serious collector or shooter may catch that, the average viewer wouldn't see it, know the difference or care.

The frame cut just below where the bbl screws into,,and that area as well don't quite look right, but that may just be light and shadow.

Target hammer?

Tough to tell from the pic,,,but just some thoughts,,,fun to guess anyway.
