You just can't make this stuff up
Seems yesterday here in Florida, there is this young couple expecting their first child, and the wife very much pregnant unexpectantly goes into labor. So of course the young husband rushes to the family car and......................nothing.
Now what does he do you ask? Does he call 911? Does he rush over to the nearest neighbor?
No, he graps his gun and the two head off down the street and get this- Car Jack some poor kid at gun point.
Just another day in paradise you say, maybe except the two knuckleheads, I mean parents to be, literally ran right past a Firehouse yes with Firemen inside on the way to Car Jack this poor kid and his car to drive to the hospital.
This morning he is a new proud father and a new proud owner of a orange jump suit and shakles.
I love the news.

The news account I read said that the couple's car ran out of gasoline and they walked quite a ways. still, they both had cell phones and they did walk past that fire hall. Apparently they tried unsuccessfully to flag down someone to help them.
Always good to have that trusty handgun in case people won't co operate.
He would have been smarter to tell the driver "I will give you this fine handgun if you drive us to the hospital."

I dont feel sorry for him nor the mother. If hes this dumb, then it didnt occur overnight. I feel sorry for the child and the life he will have growing up. Prolly wont have a father figure in his life. Hopefully this wont happen but....chances are slim

A gentleman would have jacked the car, and driven back to the house to pick up his paramour.
Making a woman in labor walk to a gunfight is just vulgar.

Actually the moron was not armed. This was one of our cases. He threatened to shoot the victim during the incident, and the victim believed the guy was armed. He wasn't. All that's necessary in FL to charge armed carjacking or armed robbery is making the threat to use a weapon, and the victim believing you had a weapon while you're taking the car. He was swarmed as he pulled up to the emergency room and no weapon was ever found.

He will get off due to a Medical Condition. He was clearly under stress and not thinking right.

As we always say up here in Alaska....Ahhhh Florida. There are more crazy stories out of florida than any other state. Our local radio station up here lives for these stories, makes us look normal...hahaha
