Is Your "Life For Rent"? (video)
Dido - Life for rent (live/Harald Schmidt show) - YouTube
Dido performs her platinum hit, "Life For Rent" on the Harald Schmidt Show a few years ago. (I think the show is German, but Dido Armstrong is English. I have all of her CD's.)
I ran across this again and it always reminds me to ask if my life has been for rent, or do I "look to buy?"
Do you just drift along, or do you have goals toward which you conciously strive, dreams to make come true? That does indeed make life more worth the living of it.
Is anyone else here a Dido fan? "White Flag" is probably her best known song in the USA.

I retired last year so, at this time I am available for rental purposes. However, I am not cheap!

Well, neither is Dido!  She must be worth millions, but had to start somewhere, to stop letting her fear of failure prevent her trying.
That's the hangup that many of us have. (I need to write faster and convince myself that my first book will sell, as have about 3500 magazine and newspaper articles. But marketing a novel seems a little daunting.)

Yes, the show is German and he was way better back in the day...
Both of Dido's songs you posetd here were pretty popular in Germany.
I do hear some Dido sometimes in the car. Don't have any CD's from her tho. Stevie Nicks is "my girl"

Is that the way she does it all the time. Stands there (or sits there) and just - sings? No lasers. No fog machines? No dancing around? Just - sings?
Impressive. Wish more people would do that.

This is about as much dancin' and prancin' as I've seen Dido do, and it's in good daylight, at Bryant Park in NYC a few years ago. I recall seeing this as a live broadcast.
A good performance! "Sand in My Shoes". One of my favoirites from her.
