Default Here's how a troll responds

SOlomom posted anominously on our daily papr's blod in response to a post stating that a good way to control guns id to let everyone have two and any above that to be taxed at $500 per gun per year-after all nobody needs more than a handgun and a rifle. Well you can imagine the discourse was spirited to say the least. Well this guy named Solomon posted a bunch of tripe well over the top bemoaning the "arms race" and I just couldn't help myself

My reply:

"So Solomon-just what 's your point? I've got plenty of guns. Somebody messes with me and I'll kill them. Take away my guns and it's still the same. Somebody messes with me and I'll kill them-only I'll use something else-say a ball peen hammer. Of course if the guy messing with me hasn't read the memo about giving up all of HIS guns , well then I guess I am jolly well ....! Also How am I gonna kill dem duck?? With a knife?? A ball peen hammer ??? Maybe a bow and arrow but then I have to shoot them on the water and that isn't very sporting now is it?"

Good thing I saw this before I hit the scotch

I don't know about you, my Louisiana friend, but I'm getting a little tired of people telling me what I need. What I need or want is no ones business. What I do with what I have, be it a gun, a car, or a piece of real property might be someone else's business. But I resent being condemned, not on the basis of my actions, but of someone else's fears.

In fact, like most of the people on this forum,I've spent most of my life playing by the rules. I've done so when I didn't want to and I've done so when I knew it wasn't in my best interest. Now to be lumped with people such as the ones who have lately caused so much grief breaks my heart. I've always thought that a man ought to try to be on the side of the Angels. Now I wonder if I haven't just been foolish.

Well, we can all rest assured that the carpetbagger you mention is in a miniscule minority on THIS SIDE of the Mason-Dixon line...

Some folks just don't know the difference between wants and needs. I want a 1955 Winchester featherweight in '06, but I need a Mk 19 Mod 0 40mm grenade launcher and an M2 .50. Hope this helps clarify things.....
