Default What S&W revolvers should a collector start with?

I was thinking what S&W revolvers "Not custom shop"should a new collector look for in a perfect world? My collecting wish list would have to go somthing like this.

1. 19 4"
2. 28 4-6 inch
3. 60 2"
4. Model 18 4" "I've always wanted one of these"
5. 629 any length
6. 625 model of 1989
7. 64 or 65 4"
8. 640

My grail guns would be
1. Mod. 520
2. Mod. 696
3. Mod. 41
4. Mod. 27 any barrel length

What's on your list?

You got to have a 36 and 37 on there, they're classics!

I'd rather have a M13 or M65 in 3 inch rather than 4 inch.

You didn't mention any Pre-War guns, or any top breaks. Not to mention any Single Shots.

In addition to what you have, I'd add one more

617 4"

I just think they're the Cats Meow!
Plus they're fun to shoot!

Every S&W collection should include a Model 10 or it's stainless counterpart the Model 64. With all of the barrel length options available, more than one example would be prudent. The Model 49 is another iconic revolver that is worthy of consideration...
