Jr., a friend, and I will be traveling Thursday and hope to get there late Thursday night. We will check in with the Patels just inside Indiana. We'll do the JAG show on Friday and the SOS on Saturday and head back sometime Saturday afternoon. I'll be the big guy wearing a hunter orange Barq's Root Beer cap and some kind of S&W T-shirt. Nobody else will have one, so if you see it (with me underneath) say hello.

Yep. We'll probably have a table in David Carrolls island. It gives us a place to sit (with Charlie, most likely). Joe and I are bringing along a few surplus revolvers from our meager collections. And also some ammo to help folks who have too much money and too little ammo. Hold the tears, we've got enough we can spare some. Now that I'm sure Charlie is coming along, I'll have to dig up a bottle for him. If you're coming, bring one for Charlie to help him celebrate his retirement. We haven't decided on a schedule yet, but probably we'll just arrive on Saturday morning, early. Too far to drive Friday and Saturday.

This is Lvlle, so mostly they don't think. And what's this about lawyers working on Saturday? I've never heard such crazy stuff. The one's I've known drink on Saturday, then try to recover on Sunday.

I don't have a Barq's cap, but I had one of their bottle openers bolted to the bumper of one of my Jeeps. Everybody knew where there was an opener and eventually I had to take it off. I was selling the jeep and I was tired of finding a pile of bottle caps under the back bumper.

Where's Frakes? He's not posting these days? The fool probably put in to work instead of playing with his friends.

Here comes another hit. The show is in the North Wing, whatever that means. For years now its been in the south wing, sometimes A, B, or C. I've heard of the north wing, its where they used to show heavy equipment and farm equipment. Don't know if the floor is solid or dirt. The instructions tell us to enter a door marked N1 (I guess the N is for North). It could be the building where the flea market is held, who knows. It means parking somewhere else and hiking, probably out by the baseball diamond. That's for exhibitors. The general public will find a place to park out front and hike toward the far end, straight back from the entry gates.

Will be there mid morning. Remodeling show there also. Numerous strollers and rug rats will abound as Mom & GFs go ape over new home improvement projects & dad takes kid to GS! Should be a zoo!

I've been there one time during the North American Livestock Show.

Bought a purty nice champion bull and had him shipped back to Texas.

North wing is brand new. I checked it out at the Dec show. Easy to find, just go north of the south wing.

Parking/unloading will probably be a trick since everyone will be unfamiliar with the layout.

A ZOO! Too many folks!

We got there around 825 and got our tickets and stood in line to get in the show starting at 845. When the doors opened at 9 it toook us about 15min to walk thru the line. Mostly what i saw today was mainy old shotguns, lever actions, and bolt actions. Not alot of ARs and not alot of ammo tables set up. Ammo that was there was sky high. Basically it was 75cents to 1.00 a round for .223. Stopped by two reloading areas and they barly had any powder. I was looking for power pistol and none could be found.
I saw nothing interesting expect a table that had guns made for full size G.I. Joes(or thats what i compared them to). Very good detail on the guns, one of them the seller wanted 12,500 for. Best part was when I got done walking all the tables I was on one of the last ones and there was this old man with a veterns hat on sitting by himself with two cases on his table that had medals in them. I stopped by and had a conversation with him for about 20mins. He seemed to enjoy telling me about each one.
I came home with nothing. My main goal was to find M1 carbine muzzle covers but couldnt find them.
