Warm Gummy Bear to open Gun Safe?
In talking to one of my: “not really a criminal” buddies. He explains the technique of using a Gummy Bear to open (finger print open) gun safes.
There are oil traces left on the pad from the previous user/owner. Take a warm Gummy Bear and carefully press it into the print reader. Presto: It will open.
As insurance: wipe off or smear the (print reader) area after every use.
Post Script: Now burglars to carry Gummy Bears?

Only works if you use the Trolli brand, manufactured in Germany. All other brands are oleophobic.

I always thought Gummy Bears were good, but now I know that some can't be trusted.
It is disheartening to hear that some Gummies turn to a life of crime

Yep, and banging on the top of the small electronic keypad ones will allow you to open them too.

There are 8 million stories at the S&W forum, gummy bears don't work that well, but gummy worms are the ones I use to open locks and safes at the house.
Just don't put any in your tackle box, you may be chewing all day long.

I have seen all the videos regarding the inexpensive electronic safes/locks.
Any Gummy Bears videos out there?

The first video link I posted, shows how using a gelatin mixture, like a gummy bear, works.
Are you saying the second video link I posted is what you were looking for, or did you want me to post one of ME doing it?

No, I was just wanting to see the Gummy Bear trick. I am pessimistic that it would actually work, and I don't have a lot of confidence in biometric readers.

Yeah, I'm not too sure about the way described in the OP, but molding a finger and then using gelatin to copy it, does work some of the time (as evidenced in the first video that I linked.)
