This thread is dedicated to all things bacon. Answer the poll, post your recipes, post your pictures; how you like it, how you eat it, how you wear it, whatever. Chow down hogs! :D

Last night's dinner: Talapia and U-10 scallops wrapped in bacon. First par cook the bacon about 80%, wrap the scallops and finish both in the reserved bacon fat - awesome bacon heaven :D:D

On a sandwich(BLT&cheese), I like it medium/chewy. but with eggs & toast I like it crunchy. Bacon should always be thick & peppered. My 2¢

I love bacon!

This is my picture that I took for a breakfast meal protection thread on the Sig Forum about 4 years ago. This picture has become somewhat famous over the years and has made the rounds on the internet and showed up in countless posts and Photoshopped pictures. I guess I should have copy written it, but I never thought it would become so famous.

This is 3lbs of bacon, protected by my Sig P228

Anyone make there own bacon? I was experimenting about 6 months ago with wet and dry cures. All were considerably better than anything in the store.

We have home made bacon right now! Came out great but now it's harder to be good and eat it only occasionally! And I like it just about anyway: crispy/medium/chewy, thin/thick, plain/with syrup, on sanwiches/with breakfast/by itself. Even tried a piece dipped in chocolate tonight and gotta admit that was pretty good! (heard about it and finally got brave and tried it since we have so much now. :) )

sweet-hot bacon

Give this a try.
Make a mixture of 1 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon(or more) cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon black pepper.
Cover bacon strips with this and place on a slotted rack in a pan. (I use foil lined pans for easy cleanup)
Bake 20 min (or so) at 375.
Let cool, and devour!

bacon...guns. Will you marry me?

Gee, if I knew all I needed was a gun and a bag of bacon, no tellin' what kind of love life I would've had while at Fordham Prep.

I like your posts they combine things I love GUNS and FOOD.

But, what is next a poll on how you take your coffee perhaps? Or maybe the best way to prepare a steak?

What ever it will be I am positive it will be interesting and informative, with the help of all of our fellow forum members.

I am a life (68 years) long bacon lover. I like it thick and cooked crispy. I like it on the side of any breakfast dish. I like it on almost any sammich. I like it just to munch on by itself.

I like it often

Thanks to the thoughtfulness and generosity of a dear, dear friend I recently had the opportunity to experience a wonderful nostalgic trip back to my childhood when the friend gave me a package of bacon WITH THE RIND STILL ON IT. :) My parents used to get that and I haven't thought about it in years and years.

One of my favorite sammiches is BACON, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese, on sourdough toast. I also like BACON, fried egg, re-fried beans, salsa, cheese rolled up in a flour tortilla.

I like to hollow out a jalapeno pepper fill it with a shrimp and seafood stuffing and wrap in BACON. Deep fry it for a couple of minutes and pop it whole into your mouth (unless you have a cold beer very close by you might want to let that cool for just a minute. ;)

If I could keep my cats off me at night I'd wear jammies made out of BACON to bed.

Have done this but without the cayenne, it's great on bacon avocado sandwiches. I'll have to try with cayenne next time.

Put it on the barbeque, complete with your favorite "Q" sauce and grill intil it's done to your taste. My daughter taught me that one. I lay strips across the breast of the turkey or chicken in the oven and on the rotisserie.

Mmm.

I always, always, always add bacon to sloppy joes. Love it, love it, love it.
