History Channel: The Vikings
A few days ago, I had my cable TV restored for a few cheaper channels and can now get History Channel and Animal Planet.
Is anyone else watching, "The Vikings" and do you like it?
My son referred me to it and it does have its appeal.

Ya, the women are attractive. Some of the sharing customs are interesting.
The shieldwall battle was really educational, and probably accurately represented. Impressive.

The shield wall was used by the Greeks and the Romans as well.

I've always been interested in Viking "lore" and have found the series to be very entertaining up to this point.

I like it and find it pretty accurate based on my limited knowledge. I am more familiar with the Celtic peoples at that time.

Star,
You might want to review the top thread in the "Similar threads" box at the bottom of the page. A number of members weighed in on that one.

There are probably quite a few of us with Viking blood in our veins. They spread more than chaos to the places they raided.
