10 years from now
Ok so this ammo/gun stuff is ridiculous now. Ammo prices are insane. If this continues, whats the future hold in 10 years from now. Is it going to be like having a large gas guzzling car during a fuel crisis? Will you be able to buy a gun that is really expensive now for almost nothing because nobody will be able afford ammo? I don't think that will happen but sometimes I think of nutty stuff while I'm sitting in this lazyboy.

I wonder what my grandkids will want me, "old Papaw" to
leave them, the guns or my ammo stash. I don't see it getting
much better for tomorrows shooters/hunters.
We are, "I am afraid" just one more big mass shooting away
from the public turning against EVERY GUN OWNER.
Hope i'm wrong but if another Sandy Hook took place or a similar
tragedy, no telling what would happen.
Chuck

There may some truth to your thoughts. In these parts, they forced wolves down our throats to eat all the big game so nothing to hunt, why have guns. Same thing with your idea, no ammo to shoot, why have guns. Seems that if they can't legislate it, they'll just keep doing end runs.

We make no distinction between wolves and coyotes here. We shoot them both.

The answer to your questions will be a direct function of the governments we elect in that period of time.

I think thats true, BUT, young people are being bombarded in schools including college of the anti-gun way of thinking. I believe all the "guns are bad" stuff they pound into the young peoples heads may be more of a problem then the government. It's funny I was just talking to a retired teacher today about this. The question I originally posted was a hypothetical question and I was just wondering, will ammunition be so expensive that the guns like a AR or even a SigP226 be to expensive to go out and have fun with. I seen 9mm today on cheaperthendirt, ball ammo, selling for $70 a box. Thats crazy! I'm just glad I have a stash because I'm not paying that for 50 rounds of ****** ball ammo to punch holes in paper.

I can buy 9mm hardball right now for $20 for a box of 50.
I do not, however. It will have to drop back to $12 or less, before I start buying it again.
