Is your SPOUSE an NRA member? Why not already?!?!?
The NRA thread got me to thinking...
One EASY and simple way to almost double membership overnight is to make certain that my wife is an NRA member.
I just bought her a life membership.
If you don't have your wife (or husband) signed up...you should.
It suprised me that most of the members that I know, don't have their wives signed up!
I'm doing my best to change that!

Mine was a life member long before we got married.
Life is to short to put of with anti gun women.

I guess I could but she has no interest in guns or shooting. Doesn't care that I do. She has her own hobbies.
I would rather see all those gun owners out there that are NOT members to sign up, what the $15 is too much??

First off, she's like Mrs. Rule3 -- not much interest in guns, but is fine with me. Me: "I found a great gun today, Honey." Her: "Oh, that's nice. Did you buy it?"
Secondly, she thinks the NRA gets enough of my money the way it is! She can't believe the mailings they send which keep asking for more!
She just came up behind me and is smiling, reading over my shoulder!

Mine would have until her sister's son blew his brains out with a .357. She's not pushing it, but she'd be just fine if I had no guns.

Now fellers...
- Call the NRA customer service and have them mark your account that you don't want any mailings other than the magazine, period. I don't receive anything other than the magazines
I understand that many of our wives really don't care about our "hobby" or intrests, but this isn't about intrests, it's about freedom. This is a fight we cannot lose, for our children and our future.
I do wish that they had a spouse program, for instance, $100 life membership for a spouse, if you are already a life member, and do not need an additional magazine. It would be one easy way to pick up many more members.
The fight does begin at home. You better believe that our foes are looking inside their own homes, and yours too for those that are sympathetic to their cause.
I know that what I'm saying isn't easy. I sat down and had a long talk with my wife over it- she shoots some and CCW's, but isn't as "interested" as I am. I made certain we're om the same page though.

No, but she belongs to several groups and organizations I don't. However, she very much enjoys the SWCA meetings.

Don't have a wife anymore. But gave my grandson a Life membership 2 weeks ago. Best 300 bucks I ever spent. He's in college & could not afford it. He doesn't know it yet so will be a complete surprise when he gets home for the summer.

My wife had no exposure to guns until we married in 2003. She went from being tolerant to curious to interested to involved. She got into SASS with me and then got her CCW. I've been a lifer for years. After the last election she signed up as a lifer on her own. What a girl!

I've been a life member for many years and my wife was a yearly member. Long story short, back in the 90's we let her membership lapse but we have picked it up again. So yes, she is a member.

Yes, mine is, but only because I think she got tired of hearing me b*tch*n about the anti-gun laws that Obama was trying to push. So she said she wanted to join. That or it was a way to feel "closer" to me, women be crazy.
I bought her a pink 10-22 but she has only shot it once. To be fair her parents are yankee's who were never around guns and it took quite awhile to get her to feel safe around mine.
