Wish me luck
I go in tomorrow for another try on the knee replacement. 2 years ago they replaced both of them at the same time. I never could straighten them out. They healed fine, but for the last two years it feels like I've been on a stair master.
I now reasonably know what was done wrong. The knee joint spacer was made too tight. Instead of the Dr telling me that, he told me I didn't try hard enough. Please understand, I stayed in the hospital 11 days, did in-home therapy for 30, and went to a rehab place 3 times a week for 6 months. The final exercise each time was someone pushing down on my knees, trying to straighten them out.
I'll check in as soon as I can, but it will probably be Friday.

Good luck, Jim. Hope you're soon able to give that first doctor a well-placed knee.

Good luck and I hope they get it right this time. Mine is just the opposite as they put in a 12mm and he said it was to tight. Then he put in a 10mm and left it like that. Now I have a little play in there. I asked him if he had a 11mm, and he said no. Oh well I recovered and I am pain free. Life is good. Again, good luck.

I want to wish you the best of luck also. I understand having to have multiple surgeries, and it really stinks! (Had 4 to fix my neck, and still need one more). May you be blessed in the future.

I feel ya my friend! I'll be sayin' some prayers that they fix you up right this time. In '73 I broke my left leg out the knee racing Motocross. I was 30 years old. The docs said I was too young for a new knee so they just patched me up and sent me home.
20 years later they replaced it (very bad job and I didn't take very good care of it) I blew it out in 3 years and had to have it redone. Most folks learn how to walk one time. I've had to learn how to walk 4 times.
I hope the surgeons do you right but I'm sure you know that how you do your therapy and rehab makes all the difference in how you will walk. Don't neglect that hamstring muscle. Go ahead, ask me how I know.
Best of luck to you and let us know how it goes.....

Well, Im home. This time was a success. Right leg extends and locks. The Dr who did the revision told us he found several things wrong. He did a total knee replacement. We are on the right track.
