I have enjoyed Kelly's Heroes ever since I saw it when I was 17 in the theater. I was always impressed with the correctness I saw in it as far as weapons. They had Tiger tanks, not M48s like "The Battle of the Bulge". I think it was filmed in Europe, where else would you find a Tiger in 1969? Well I was watching it some on Memorial Day when I noticed something that floored me. When they begin the assault on the Bank, their sniper kills the guards on the roof. I noticed his rifle, hmmmm...sure isn't a Springfield. What? It's a Mosin Nagant! Seems strange doesn't it, they have M1 Thompsons, and Sherman Tanks, but they couldn't come up with a Springfield or Garand? I was disappointed.
