Forget where you pack you gun, where do you pack your wallet?
Small talk and a strange question I know, so what's new? When I was a kid I lost my wallet while riding a tote goat checking traps. It fell out of my "back" pocket. From that point on I always have kept it in my front pocket, never ever lost it.
While standing in the shopping line I see some guys have a "thick" wallet in their back pocket, seems like it would be a pain when sitting. It also seems like an easy pick pocket for the bad guys.
There's this engr at work that never has kept his wallet in his pocket, ever. He packs it or puts in his coat pocket. He puts it on his desk at work and never forgets it. Seems odd but it works for him.
If I carried a fanny pack I'd keep it in there.

Left hind pocket. Always have, always will.
Usually have a j-frame in the right hind pocket.

I keep my wallet in my right back/hip pocket. It's not as full as it once was...a lot fewer credit cards, money, etc. The advantage of being "pleasingly plump" is that my pants pockets are so tight that I can't imagine anyone slipping my wallet out without me noticing. I almost have to unbutton my pants to get it out myself.
Darn cleaners keeps shrinking my jeans...

After a loooooong time, I just switched to a smaller wallet/money clip and it rides in my right front pocket.
I have no idea why.

Left rear...we were taught in the academy that wallet should always be carried opposite pocket of your gun hand.

Keeping it in the front pocket helps avoid pickpockets. When I'm in the saddle, it always goes in the left saddle bag.

Wallet is in the right rear pocket when on me. When not in my pocket it's either in the console of one of the trucks or vans, locked in the desk or locked in the ammo safe. My wallet contains $200 cash (Mad Money), DL, Handgun Permit, lunch discount cards, Kroger Card and a few business cards. Steal it, I don't care. $200 isn't going to make or break me.
Cash, one check, AMEX and MasterCard are carried in the left front pocket in my Grandfathers money clip. 36/37/442/642 or 60 in the right front pocket with a speed strip in the watch pocket. At times the revolver can be found in either a left side cross draw IWB, right side IWB over the kidney or in a *** holster.
When out hunting the wallet is in a zipped closed interior pocket of the bibs or cover-alls.
Class III
Edit: The filtering software doesn't like the abbreviation for Small Of Back.

Looks like am the odd-ball!!
I have used my shirt pocket for about 30 years. My wallet is a very thin leather device that has an outside pocket where I carry my drivers license and ccw. Inside are 3 slots for credit cards and one spot for retired ID card plus a couple of 20 dollar bills. The whole thing is about 3/8" and weights almost nothing.
No photos of the wife, kids, etc. Only what I absolutely have to have.

Because of back problems I have carried in the right front pocket. I have several Safari short sleeve shirts with a zippered front pocket on each side under a regular front pocket with a button. Wallets and phone are carried in these when worn. Years ago I figured out the wallet in my left rear pocket was causing problems and switched. Some time later I read an article about men carrying those thick wallets in rear pockets and the nerves they can press against. For once I was ahead of the curve.

Left front pocket
Left front pocket. I lost too many of them when carrying in back pocket. Since I switched to front pocket I have not lost one. It is also much more secure against pick pockets and more comfortable when sitting down. Can’t believe it took me so long to make the change.

I didn't think this thread would get legs but, I admit it's been fun and enlightening!
I've carried a wallet since I was an early teen so over 40 years. Always in my left, back pocket (I'm a lefty). I know when it's there and I know when it's not but it doesn't bother me. My jeans are worn "just right" when a wear mark of my wallet outline forms.
If it gets too fat, I just hoe it out. I'm always amazed by the massive amount of ancient, useless junk I pull out when I do. Makes me think I'm a hoarder!

Lost my wallet out of left rear jeans pocket as a teen. Switched to right front pocket, and now almost 60 years later, it's still there. No more losses.

My wallet goes in my right front pocket along with my keys, pocket knife and a small tape measure. My money clip and change go in the opposite pocket. At times my wallet and keys go into my left front pocket because there is a 642 in my right front pocket.

When I was dealing in cars I always carried $2000-2500 in cash and I moved the wallet to my RF pocket. It is easier to lose a wallet or have your pocket picked from the rear pockets. Also as many have said, sitting on it a long time can cause nerve/back issues. If I wear my bib overalls I carry the wallet in the bib pocket.

Wallet in the left front, 442 in the right front. Clip knife clipped to the right front also, cell phone in the shirt pocket, keys in the left front, machete strapped to my back, axe and bayonet in my left and right boots, claymore in the fanny pack, 240 extra rounds taped to my waistline. Only problem is I can't stand up!

Right front pocket. For years, I carried it in my right rear pocket but after shoulder surgery in 2008, I couldn't reach my back pocket for over a year. By that time, right front was a habit and still carry it that way. Only thing wrong with that is it makes getting my rule 9 out a little more difficult.

I carry my wallet in my left rear pants pocket and it is usually too fat. I am always tapping my pocket in a crowd and cannot see how anyone could get away with taking it. Lots of keys in both ft pockets and pocketknife. Old habits die hard. The older I get the more I remove the wallet especially on road trips.

I rarely, if ever, carry a wallet. Wallet or not, the cash I have with me is always in a money clip in a front pants pocket. When I do have a wallet on me, its in my rear pocket with a chain connecting it to my belt. Besides, like Sip said, you can just toss the clip to a bad guy and when he / she reacts to catch it, it gives you an extra second or two to .......... !

It's been many years for me; other than that this is exactly my experience. My chiropractor, who has eliminated every back pain I've ever had, saw me take the wallet out of my back pocket one time and said, "That's a no-no." I never put it in my back pocket again.

Wallet right rear, license, Insurance, Costco card. Bill fold right front, cash and credit card. Don't have to worry about a place for CCW, this is NJ, why would we need to carry? LOL

My wallet is always in my right rear pocket. Have never lost or had one stolen. Also, I very rarely keep any cash on me and if I do it's less than $20 and it resides in my right front pocket.
If someone wants to steal it, they will get a DL, my debit card and some miscellaneous business cards, nothing of to much value.
