I am trying to find out anything I can about this old gun. It says Forehand arms co on top of the barrel with the last pat date of Jany 11, 87. I'm not looking to sell it or anything I'm just looking for any info on it. It's been cleaned and buffed and I know that kills the value but since I'm keeping it I don't really care how much it's worth. It's a .32 or a .38. I also have a gun that is identicàl to this one but it has U.S Revolver co on top of the barrel.

One of many different models of top break revolvers made by Forehand & Wadsworth Firearms Co.
Probably their 'New Model' Revolver, but that's just a guess.

The company made handguns and long guns.

Here's a pretty good general info article on the company.
They were bought out by Hopkins & Allen around 1900.,,,,1898 or 1902 depending on what source you read.

US Revolver Co was Iver Johnson's second line. They are like the older IJ revolvers, but don't have the hammer-the-hammer feature, and they were made for black powder.
