Anyone name their kids "Smith" or "Wesson", or both?
Just curious, Friday at work, a co-worker who is really into fishing said he was naming his firstborn kid firstname Jimmy, middle name Houston after some famous fisherman. I know someone else who named their boy firstname Colt middle name Peyton (he is a shooter and a Colts football team fan). It got me thinking if I knew anyone who named their kids after some famous person or a after a hobby.

A Group Called Smith is an album by soul/psych band Smith, released in 1969. It contains their biggest hit, a cover of The Shirelles' "Baby, It's You", which peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 1, 1969 (it spent a total of fifteen weeks on the chart)

we named our son Connor Duncan McLeod Reynolds .mostly for the movie highlander ,before it became the tv series.
they are all family names as well.
considered Colton Winchester Reynolds ,but we told an expecting friend our plans, and she named her son Colton . back to the drawing board
remember that singer Daniel Baird?

I had a Brittany named Ruger. Was original but heard of many later also named. I thought if I got another pair of bird dogs later though I'd name them Smith & Wesson.

I once shared office space with a lawyer who raised a pair of goats named Briggs and Morgan, after a blue-stocking St. Paul law firm. They barbecued up real nice. Then the remains became chili, which he called Morgan's Andiamo.

Many years ago when my sister was a social worker she had a family on her caseload who, she swore, had a pair of boy-girl twins named Lucifer and Gazebo.
Smith, Wesson, Colt or even Glock would have to create fewer problems for a kid than that. Maybe not Hi Point--you don't want to think what eighth grade would be like for that one.

Anyone who names their kid Glock needs to be put on some sort of watch list.

A true story I swear...years ago social worker friend visited the new Mom in the hospital. Asked the child's name and mom says FeMale (fe ma la). That is an interesting name is that a family name? The mom says no she already had the name on her wrist.
Sad but very true.

I think you could have a lot of fun with Smith & Wesson if you had three kids and at least one of them was a girl: Smith, Ann(or Anne), Wesson.

Have a p/t co-worker at my LGS who named his daughter 'Kimber'.
Also have a friend who runs a tackle shop on the NC coast who named his two sons 'Parker' and 'Grady'.
You'd have to be into offshore fishing boats to get the reference.

Living in the Charleston area my entire life I'm not the least bit surprised. If I had twins I think I would name them Toluene and Phosgene.
