NE Ohio Bunch Fall Meeting
Hope everyone is having a great summer and they all go by fast. Looks like Sat October 5th is the next meeting from 9-10 am till 3 pm or when ever everyone leaves. Same thing with the food, BRING A DISH OF FOOD TO SHARE. It can be a desert, side dish or something as a main dish. We do need to get a few more main dishes to appear. Its nice to have the food to snack on through the day that everyone brings. Admission will be 3.00 again and the cold drinks (water and pop) will be provided as well as fresh coffee.
Bring your favorite Smith & Wesson's to display or talk about. Tables will be provided, they are 8' long. If you have something to sell such as boxes, grips or what ever, bring it to sell.
You don't have to be a SWCA member to attend, YOU JUST HAVE TO LIKE S&W's. If you want to bring a friend or 2 or 3, they are welcome. So is you're wife. I will update this post as time passes so check back for new items I forgot. The directions will follow. New people with GPS, the address is 5742 Bradley Rd North Olmsted Ohio. There are nice Hotels available the Exit just east of the Stearns Rd exit.
I'm cutting this short tonight, my wife had back surgery yesterday and I'm tired. She's doing great but it was a long day.

If you have nothing to do Oct 5th, come on out and meet some forum people and SWCA members. You don't have to be from Ohio, you can come from what ever state that you think the ride is worth it. We had Bob and his wife come from Philly, 6 hrs away. He displayed abt 8 engraved model 29's. Looking for some good people to fit into the group. We meet 2 times a year and eat very good. Larry

God bless you, the furthest anyone traveled was abt 6 hrs from Philly Pa. IF someone wants to travel with you, bring them. I'm sure you could add to the quality of the group
The wife is doing great since Fri nite when she came home. The pain in her legs is gone, that's great. So far she is on her way to a pain free life. Larry

Hi Larry, glad to see some new people attend. Make sure you bring something to display. If you like what we do, we'll do it again next spring. Hope more people see this post. This is a club event so some of the NOSC members will be there. Usually they walk in and out but we get the club for free. Larry

Directions. Get off I-480 west of the air port at the Stearns-Crocker exit and go north. If coming from the east, turn right. At the first red lite is Lorain rd, turn left. Roughly 1 mile is Barton rd, turn right. At the first stop sign, Bradley rd, turn rt. There are abt 3-4 ranch homes on the rt side and the club is right after them. 5742 Bradley is the place to be. Larry count me in. Is Tom H. coming with another J frame display? Keith Brown with stocks? Dave N has more types of guns to display than I have guns. It's always great to see him. He travels from Erie PA He has displayed Model 52s, Early Post war M&Ps and now model 29s...I wonder how many safes he has?

Stopped at the Bagley rd. fin feather & fur on Sat and there was an air-lite .22 for 550. Used. Seemed like a good price but didn't ask to see it. Larry

Tom H called and will display centinals and body guards. 3 more days and I'm off for a month. Having carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand and in 2-3 weeks surgery on my right hand. Go back to work the Monday after this meeting. I'll be practicing for retirement. Larry

Larry I picked up an M&P air weight 2" from 1953 with the aluminum cylinder. That will be for sale. I plan to bring that and a few j frames. Looking for a nice early chief special air weight with red box.
I have a pre model post war .22 kit gun I am selling too. Snubby.
Can't wait!

I have a couple new ones to show off. Actually traded for the one at our last bunch. Hooked up with PMRET from the forum to buy a 16-3 last month. Mike, I have a very nice model 37 in the safe but no box that could be for sale. Jack, that's smart to shoot rather then buy, prices should come down some more with time. Have Carpel tunnel surgery tomorrow abt 2 pm., can't wait. Larry

Larry I have several model 37s. I'm looking for a pre 37. Unless yours is so nice I would sell one if mine to upgrade in quality. 
Good luck with the CT surgery. Friends of mine have had it with great success.

Can't wait till the bunch, looks like we'll have some guns to buy which is always interesting. Just enjoying the first portion of my 5 weeks off work. Fin, feather & fur had a flyer today with ammo on sale for somewhat reasonable prices for those that need it. Lot of guns also with decent prices. Not a member of the SWCA but interested in checking this out - I missed the last one and was set to miss this one when my trip to Maryland got canceled so I might be able to make it after all. I own a couple of new S&W semi-autos along with a couple Rugers and Bushmaster.
For folks in the Northeast Ohio area - GreatLakesOutdoorSupplies has some of the best prices I have seen on a lot of items - when they are in their ads, which come out fairly often. They have three locations.

Just went for a ride to the LGS just to get out of the house. I see ammo is coming down, thats good for us shooters. Bob R from Philadelphia won't be at this meeting bc of the OGCA the next week. Said he'll come in the spring. He's a big model 29 collector. Larry
