Charles Pate's Book for Sale For How Much??
At the last local gun show I found a copy of Charles W. Pate's book for sale with a price of $250!! U.S. Handguns of World War II is a great book, and I believe it is out of print, but $250? I'm going to take better care of my copy from now on. BTW, to my knowledge it did not sell that weekend.

$150 to $250 seems to be the asking price for a copy now depending on the condition.
A few are priced way out there of course.

I had no idea they were that high. I seem to remember paying around $38 in 2009, or so. Like I said, I will keep better care of my copy now. I'll have to check to see what my signed Clawson .45 books are going for.

I'm surprised the NRA has not sought permission to reprint the book as a fundraiser for something. They would probably sell a truckload at the next convention in the $75-$100 range.

I bought my copy at OGCA for $32.00 from the bookserller that is usually there in 2010.
I had no idea they were bringing that kind of money.

GREAT idea. Also just think how many Clawson books on the 45 they could sell if they reprinted it.
