Just watched the NFL Network show about the Top Ten NFL Rivalries. I'm thinking Bears-Packers HAS to be #1. Followed by Steelers-Raiders, Raiders-Chiefs and Cowboys-Redskins.

Here's the list:

10-Cowboys-49ers
9-Cowboys-Eagles
8-Patriots-Colts
7-Bears-Packers
6-Cowboys-Steelers
5-Steelers-Ravens
4-Browns-Bengals
3-Patriots-Colts
2-Raiders-Steelers
1-Eagles-Giants

I don't know who made up this list, but the #1 spot is a joke. And to put Bears-Packers at #7, is unbelievable.

What do you think of this list?

Obviously put together by some 20 something yuppie.
Redskins/Cowboys and Chiefs/Raiders go waaaay back.
Some on the list like Pats/Colts ??? and Steelers/Ravens ???
Not that they are'nt rivals but not top ten material.

Chuck

LOL

No Cowboys/Redskins makes this thing a joke.

I swear....all these hipsters are giving all of us twenty-somethings a bad name.

Shoulda been born 20 years earlier....(thanks for waiting so long to have a kid Mom!)

Packers / Vikings is probably bigger now than Packers / Bears...

Especially when Farve was there... The Viking stadium sold out for years in advance when he signed on to quarterback for the Vikings.

But yeah, how old is the Packers / Bears rivalry? Almost older than football itself!

.

since Bret Farves comeback kid saga, I think the bears packers rivalry fell to old tradition while being supplanted by the packers vikings rivalry.
despite this, such a long standing tradition shouldn't have it at number 7 ... its kinda like thanksgiving dinner gone vegan

I don't agree that packs viks has taken over pack bears. I have been to games at lambeau field and can tell you first hand the energy in the stadium points otherwise.

the packers should have been on that list 3 times. packers-bears, packers- vikings and the packers-lions on thanksgiving day is what america has come to expect each year.

I fail to see any sort of rivalry to speak of between the Eagles and the Cowboys or Giants.

Cowboys have 6 championships.

Giants have 4.

Eagles have ZERO!

As with most generic "TOP #" lists, this one is a joke.

#10 -- A rivalry back in the Joe Montana days, but not before nor since.
#9 -- This is the third biggest rivalry in the NFC East.
#8 -- Brady vs. Manning.
#7 -- Now we're talking rivalry. NFC Central between two stories franchises.
#6 -- Terry Bradshaw vs. Roger Staubach. This is all 1970s rivalry.
#5 -- For the past 10 years maybe.
#4 -- The top rivalry between two of the league's lousiest team perhaps.
#3 -- Brady vs. Manning again? Wow, that is a big rivalry.
#2 -- Not since the 1970s when Noll and Madden were prowling the sidelines.
#1 -- Sure, whatever you say.

Chiefs-Raiders? Cowboys-Redskins? Chargers-Raiders? Sorry fellas, us old timers aren't part of the equation anymore.

Hate to correct you, but as a Steelers fan I must.

Cowboys have 5 Championships.
Only the Steelers have 6.

Clearly this was done from drawing names out of a hat, or the group that came up with the list hasn't watched football for very long.

What do I think?

I think everybody is entitled to an opinion and some will not agree with others.
Chill out!!
