I purchased the Smith & Wesson book so I could match the serial numbers to the year of manufacture but all the serial numbers I have aren't listed in the book. I have post war and recent serial numbers. I'm probably using the lists wrong. I can't find the matching data nor the k38 combat masterpiece year I'm looking for. I have a k38 target masterpiece and a k22 I can't find info on too. Bigbill

They don't list every serial number. You have to read between the lines.
