Went to a local show
I went to a local show this past week. I'd never been to this one before and wasn't sure what I was getting into. Well, it turned out to be a small show, scaled down because of the season. However, I still had fun looking around. Each time I go to a show, I learn something new. One of the highlights for me was early production 1903 Springfield. It was in good shape, and I wished it could talk. There was a Colt King Cobra chambered in .357 that I wanted to take home [but I absolutely had no money]. It made me drool; and I was given the privilege of checking it over. I also saw a Ruger 30-06 with scope and muzzle break. If that had been in a .308, I would have gone bonkers and let them keep spouse as collateral until I could have gathered the money together. [Spouse would probably have been annoyed.]
Folks were nice, friendly, and quick to answer questions. Took a card so I can contribute to an organization that buys protective vests for police dogs.
It was a great way to spend a cold, rainy afternoon.
Stay warm, folks!
