Burger King for lunch EVERY DAY?
Read today where a Wyoming couple have been having lunch every day at the same BK for the last 25 Years ! They order a Whopper,a medium order of fries and two side salads with ranch dressing. I can understand being stuck in a rut,but 25 years sounds a little excessive to me.

Sounds like they have a self esteem problem. If I had Ranch dressing every day for a week, I would hate it forever. I hope their breakfast is more exciting than that.

Just read the article--sounds like a nice couple. Maybe a little OC, but then we all have our quirks. Got me thinking about lunch, though.

Working outside near a BK for 3 months made their food convenient but after 3 weeks of it a one mile drive elsewhere didn't seem so bad.

A guy I used to work with went to the same restaurant every day, had the same thing, and went at the same time. He did the same thing for supper. He also drove the same route to and from work every day.
One day he was driving home and his regular route was detoured. The guy that was driving home with him told me he had a melt down because he had to drive a different way.
He was just weird, not in a rut.

We used to see....
There was a buffet pizza joint where my lunch crowd saw the same guy every time somebody went in there. Somebody struck up a conversation with him and he said he ate there every day. Why? He just loved pizza. After many years he stopped coming. People were pretty sure why. BTW the pizza wasn't that great, just plenty of it.
I gained a lot of weight one time because a BK was right across the street from where I worked. Going anyplace else would have required a car trip. But back in those days BK and the other hamburger joints were pretty darn good! Not any more.

I spend all day driving around visiting my construction projects and rarely get to sit down and have a lunch in a restaurant. Burger King has a value double cheeseburger for $1.49 and I have that and a cup of water and no fries or anything else. It's pretty good and doesn't hurt my wallet or my waistline but I would not like it over a couple of times a month.

I guess that there's something to be said for knowing what you want. Everyday though, I don't think I could handle it. I have several favorite foods, the key word here being several. I have been known to eat spaghetti four or five days in a week, not from an economic need but because I love it & have a tendency to make a ton when I make it. The sauce freezes well, & I've found you can freeze pasta.

I read a study once that said if you want to lose weight eat the same thing (within reason) every day. The idea is that after a while it just becomes fuel and you don't over eat. I been eating oat meal every day for breakfast for going on three years now.
I don't know if I could do BK daily though I can taste that gas they grill their burgers with

Do they split the Whopper & Fries? If not that's a awful lot of calories, fat and sodium for one meal when there's still 2 more to go in a day. That's 1060 in calories, 55 grams of fat and 1535 mg of sodium in one sitting. Heck even splitting them equally it's a mess of a meal to have every single day.
From BK's website - nutrition data for a whopper:
Calories 650
Protein 22g
Carbohydrates 50g
Sugar 12g
Fat 37g
Saturated Fat 11g
Trans Fat 1.5g
Cholesterol 60mg
Sodium 910mg
For a medium fries:
Calories 410
Protein 4g
Carbohydrates 58g
Sugar 0g
Fat 18g
Saturated Fat 3g
Trans Fat 0g
Cholesterol 0mg
Sodium 570mg
Burger King should get them a gift certificate for a good cardiologist!

I used to eat Totinos pizzas almost every day when I was in college. I still love those little rascals (though I don't eat them every day any more).

I got stuck in Belize for six months once. Had to eat crayfish every day...180 days...crayfish for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pure hell.
I dreamed of Burger King. Cheeseburger in paradise.

There was a taco truck that set up a couple of blocks from the bus garage I drove out of last summer. I didn't eat there every day, but if I had to, I could have - for a while. As it was, I was there about three days a week. But I would mix up my order: two carnitas and one al pastor, or two al pastor, one carnitas, or sometimes four carnitas. Sometimes I would have a cabeza or buche, but never sesos. I was tempted, but not with BSE around.
I mixed up the salsas, too. The pale green hot one, or the pale pink/orange, really, really hot one.

Yes, that's where I grew up eating Whataburgers...grew up & out I should say. When I moved to OKC I was happy to see a Whataburger right around the corner from the house. That was about fourteen years ago this April. I wonder if anyone remembers that special thay had for a pretty good while back then? Buy one get one free? I thought I was going to kill myself with a burger overdose! You've got Two Guys, don't you? They have one here now. I hear their pretty good, but i haven't tried them. Whataburger definitely works for me;why take chances?

We're creatures of habit. When I like a certain food that's all I stick with when I go there. But I do switch to other food places too.

I once believed I could live the rest of my life on Qdoba beef burritos with black beans. After 2 weeks I couldn't bear the thought of another burrito.

I miss Fudruckers burgers.
I eat oat groats with a little bit of coconut oil and honey, every day, for breakfast.
Lost 25 pounds since June.
Gave up about 90% of the wheat, sugar, and starch from my diet.
Turns out, quinoa is really good with Ro-Tel tomatoes/chilis.
Oats are about the only grain I eat anymore.
Damn, I'm really regular now.

I know some guys that keep buying S&W revolvers.
Looks like they would get tired of same thing over and over.
Burger King everyday or S&W everyday. I don't know.

Caj, this ones for you: A couple is in Louisiana in a small town with one of those French/Cajun names and have stopped at a Burger King and, while at the counter they decide to ask the counter girl (not being able to pronounce the name of the town) where they are, she gives them a stupid look and says Bur-r-r-r-r-ger Ki-n-n-n-g!
