Thumbs up Turner Classic Movies plays some great extras (Sons of Liberty) in between movies.

This morning TCM played one of those extras that would be shown with a movie, a newsreel, cartoon etc. This one was called:

This was a thumbnail sketch of the Revolutionary War, immigrants who gave all to become Americans. This has many recognizable faces and names in it ranging from Claude Rains of Casablanca fame--as a Jewish immigrant Haym Salomon, and Montague Love as General George Washington.

I liked that the studios in those days, cared to give people reminders on how we came to be-and what we are--unlike today.

I cant find the short subject vid anywhere but its a great little history lesson. However, I found something from Disney (back when they were great) called: Johnny Tremain.
The "Sons of Liberty March."
