Anyone have experience with these carousel safes? I talked on the phone to Bruce Pendleton the other weekend (who can't hear a thing) and I can get one of these to my doorstep for about $2k. Is it just a cheap $800 safe with a carousel and decent lighting?
Carousel looks to be a good idea to maximize space but they only make one size. Not big enough for a lot of folk, they don't say what their fire rating is. For $2k there are lots of bigger safes you can get. But no experience from me with this brand, I like the 39 gun Patriot for $2.5k has a 2hr 1880 degree fire rating free delivery.
OT, but fire ratings make me smile when it comes to the way most homes are built here. It is highly unlikely the house will burn for long and even if it did, your guns are going to be the least of your problems. I reckon the average house here is almost beyond repair after 20 mins.
