Clint Eastwood Quote
This quote was attributed to Clint. Don't know if it is true or not but, either way, it is really funny.
"Participating in a gun buy back program because you think that criminals have too many guns is like having yourself castrated because you think your neighbors have too many kids."

Did I shoot 5 times? Or did I shoot 6? Do you feel lucky, punk? Do ya?
I can't quote it exactly either but I believe it's close

The original 'Dirty Harry' movie, about 1973. Bad guy, armed with a Walther P38 holding a little boy as Inspector Callahan aims the Model 29.
"I know what you're thinking, punk. Did I shoot 6 times or only 5? To tell you the truth, in all this excitement I forgot to keep count. So the question you have to ask yourself is 'do I feel lucky'. Well do you, punk?"
But the really funny one was in 'Bronco Billy'. Clint Eastwood and Sandra Locke talking, Eastwood says something about being in prison.
SL: "You were in prison?"
CE: "Yes".
SL: "For what?"
CE: "Nine years".
SL: "Why?"
CE: "Murder".
SL: "Oh my God, what happened?"
CE: "I came home early from work one day and found my wife in bed with my best friend".
SL: "What did you do?"
CE: (very matter of fact tone): "I shot her".
SL: "But what about him?"
CE: (confused tone): "He's my best friend."
Good lines. Great delivery.

A contrarian point of view: This is the sort of misogynistic quote that drives the ladies away from this forum in droves.

No, I don't think it does. My wife thought it was funny and it would be just as funny if it were the other way round.

The original joke is "...why shoot her and not him? Well, I figured I can shoot her once, or shoot a different guy every week" I think women have a sense of humor.

I always like the time he was interviewed on one of the late night talk shows, when asked if he was concerned about the differences in ages between himself and his pretty young bride. He paused, then replied "If she dies, she dies".

There's nothing misogynistic about the concept that a woman engaged in adultery with her husband's best friend, may well have been the instigator thereof.
In fact, assuming that the fault could not possibly be the woman's is in fact highly misogynistic - - it is degrading of women to assume that they are incapable of free will and not fully responsible for their own choices, good or bad. Implies they are not as capable as men, mentally.
"The soft sexism of low expectations," don't you know?

He used that line in two movies
Harry Callahan: I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking "did he fire six shots or only five?" Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?
Bank Robber: I gots to know.
And to Scorpio at the end just before he blows him into the water!
Callahan stands over Scorpio, gun drawn. The inspector reprises his "Do you feel lucky, punk?" speech. Scorpio lunges for his gun, Callahan kills him instantly. As Callahan watches the dead body, he takes out his inspector's badge. After contemplating what will happen to him as a result of his actions, he hurls the badge into the water before walking away.

"you gonna pull them pistols? or whistle dixie?"
"diein aint much of a livin boy"
"ever hear of a missouri boat ride?"
"There is iron in your words of peace"
"It is rock candy, but it aint for eatin, it's for lookin"
So many great quotes from that movie.
The one they should have used in Blood work, " I know what you're thinking punk, did he fire 5 shots or 6? Or is that the 8 shot S&W?"

Mayor: We don't want any trouble like we had last year in the Fillmore.
When a naked man with a butcher knife and a hard-on is chasing a woman, I don't ask if he's collecting for the Red Cross, I shoot the ***!
That's a favorite!

Here's an interesting bit about Clint as Mayor of Carmel.
It shows something about the man and how he handles himself in life off- set.

Great lines all, but IMO, nothing beats: And since this darned computer refuses to allow me to get the quote in film form, its:
"Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?" From: The Outlaw Josey Wales.
