Ahhhhh playoff time again! Da Blues got us last nite, but only enough to get it done.
The Blackhawks will need more OT motivation for this series. Saturday is game 2. I may need coffee..not scotch.
GO HAWKS!!!!!
Looking forward to Red Wings - Boston tonight.
Enjoy round 1 hockey, boys!

Yeah...if this keeps up, no matter who wins the series, neither team will have much left in the tank for the next round.
So...go Blues...in regulation...please!

Congrats Rangers fans on winning game 1
Giroux needs to be a captain and lead by example on Sunday or this will be a short series. He lost his composure and took a stupid slashing penalty in the 3rd while the game was still in reach. A mature captain doesn't do that.
I'm sure Mason will be in goal, not that any of the goals were Emery's fault. At lease we don't have our usual goalie controversy. Yet.
LETS GO FLYERS!!!!
Looking forward to tonight's original 6 match up.

You have just called it like a true hockey fan
Glad you didn't bash Emery, seemed like he was out there all alone at times. Stay out of the penalty box and good luck to the Flyer fans in game 2.
Tonight We will give it our best shot.

The longest game in Blues history, breaking the record set in 1984 against the hated Red Wings.
Great hockey last night and a lot more to come.

Razor actually kept them in it in the 2nd period. He made some good saves and put the Flyers in position to steal the game in the 3rd period. I think he is probably one of the best backups in the League, and I bet he could be a starter on quite a few teams.
The unfortunate 4 minute power play in the 3rd did the Flyers in and as much as I hate to give NYR credit, they made the Flyers pay. Twice.
Timo hits the post, and Giroux loses his composure which starts the self destruction, and it's game over. Not a hard to game to analyse, really.
NYR deserved to win and the Flyers need to play much better if they are going to steal a game in at MSG.

A Bruins / Red Wings playoff series. Does it get any better? I think both teams are going to be hard to score against. It's going to be a low shot count, low scoring game of maybe 2-1 one way or the other.
It's Pizza and Sam Adams for me tonight.
GO BRUINS

Here is something interesting which I take no credit for.
Went out to the bank, radio playing on the Boston sports station.
This is possible: If the Bruins were to win the cup, they could play the other 4 Original six teams to get it .
And yes one Ranger and One Philly fan, so far.

No worries, the rest of us will root with you, unless of course you are playing our team. Then all bets are off. I have always like the Flyers. Bobby Clark and Ron Hextall were favorites of mine.

Yeah, but I still don't think they should have retired his number. The hair had me thinking Unger but it wasn't styled nicely enough!

I hope no one comes over or I won't have enough food Oh yeah, and a bear claw

Well earlier, I went to the bank and super market and purchased a few items.
I thought I would show you what goodies I have for this evening.
I see they have your picture on the packaging.
The last time I was in Sarasota I noticed the place called Publix, I think.
It is still early, 5 hours to game time.

But he was just a kid. He was a rookie like a couple of years ago. I feel so old.
How about that Gordie Howe kid?

Tonight, I overlooked something
Other games, all televised.
The Canadians/Lightning at 7:00 PM and Ducks/Stars at 10 PM
And of course cubs/octopi at 7:30 PM
Strato sent me a message, he is taking a nap before the game. What a wuss.

I sure hope we get to play a series against the Canadians this season. That's always some great hockey. I do expect the same from the Red Wings though. I have a feeling both teams are going to need some ice bags tonight.
