The Blue Cube is coming down!
Lately the house has been shaking on a regular basis. I live not too far from the "Blue Cube" and for a long time I was at Ground Zero. Like I told my friends that if we ever had a thermonuclear war with the Soviets I would not suffer as I would be incinerated right quick. They deactivated the site a few years ago and gave the premises to the local community. They have been working on tearing it down for a long time. They are using a wrecking ball and occasionally there will be a loud ground shaking crash as parts of it come crashing down. I am really surprised it is taking so long to demolish it.

Well, if it was a military installation
it's not supposed to fall over just by knocking on it with a wreckingball

Me either. Thanks for the link, R3. Seems like the land will go to good local use.

The 18 acre site is being divided up between the City of Sunnyvale, the Veterans Administration, the Foothill De Anza College District and the remainder for homeless housing.

Been to that campus many times. Always felt like like a colonist from the outer arm of the crab nebula arriving at Galatic HQ.
