Default Ajax or Comet?

I have a theory that most of us end up using the same products as our parents when we were going up. Maybe it is just product familiarity.

Until I got married and my wife changed my habits I always used Crest toothpaste and Comet cleanser. And until Hydrox went out of production I had never eaten an Oreo.

THIS is is profound thought that I've been waiting for!

Amen to this. Had my throat swabbed with methiolate or however you spell it many times. Sure would cure a sore throat real quick. Didn't know till years later it was for external use only. I don't think my Mother ever knew that. Didn't make much difference.

Seems like Borax or Boraxo was a powder cleaner in my younger days also. Nothing like Babbo or Ajax as I think we used them all. I loved the Hydrox Cookies. Do they still make them?

Yeah, me too, mom used to call it painting my throat.
Sure would gag me, though!

No particular brand. I use the cheapest cleanser the store has. My ex used to call me a tightwad. Maybe she was right

Comet.
Hydrox (didn't even know Oreo's existed until I left home).
I HATE Crest. Use Arm & Hammer.
Dad always had S&W's so that's where I gravitated to.

Now I gotta go-we're under a mandatory evacuation for Arthur.

Well, I was brought up in a house with Comet, and I've used Ajax, but I like the green can, and I really like the spray stuff for the shower. I use Crest, I've used others, but I don't see them as any better, so I will stay with what I'm accustomed to. I do use a different version of Crest almost every time. I've got the stuff with baking soda in it now, and I really like it. I think that, usually when it comes to men and brand loyalty, it's not about household products. It's about cars, motorcycles, tobacco, beer and alcohol products, oh and maybe guns. There is one household product that I truly believe is superior to it's competition, and that is Tide. Even with the washer full of jeans, I've never used more than half a measure of Tide. It cleans better and you use less of it. I'm sold.

That Babo commercial was fighting "sink smog". I googled it, having never heard of it.

I found a site comparing sink smog to those other 50s household ailments, tattletale gray, ring around the collar and pink toothbrush.

The gray and the collar I've heard of. But "pink toothbrush"? Google doesn't know either.
