Prayers for a heavy load
Today my wife goes to radiation and chemo. She's a tough one but I know she's worried out of her mind.
Dad has been in the hospital since 7/17 with a blood infection. Its been touch and go but yesterday he looked better. It's possible he will be sent to a rehab today. I don't know if he'll ever be himself again. Parkinson's.
Mom is regressing and no one knows how long she has. Alzheimer's.
Both are on borrowed time.
Me, I'm freaked out.
BTW, I went to the skin doctor Thurs. and will do a MOHS procedure in about a month. That means there gonna cut me until they think they got it all. I should get a nice scar by my left eye to remember it. No biggie.

She'll be fine, trust me...It's like going into a dark room you've never been in before. Once you've entered, it's ok...No boggy man in there.
Your dad, I've got it on good authority, he's going to be ok too.

I went through about half what you're dealing with four years ago. Dad was in bad shape (we'd lost Mom four years earlier) and my honey was diagnosed with Stage 3C breast cancer. They caught it in time, thought, and she is three years cancer free.
You'll stay in my prayers.

DG, you and your family have stayed in my prayers constantly since you informed us a few weeks ago about what you and yours were facing then. This already is a rough road, and miles yet to go. All we here can do is let you know you're not walking it alone, and that you're being prayed over and thought about while you go through this. Having somebody to talk to about it in person could be a big help, if you don't already have anyone. PM me if I can refer you to someone in your area who will do just that, and who will stick with you for as long as you need him. Blessings, my friend.

i went out and did a job today and even though it was hotter than hell out there I was feeling pretty good until I got home. My wife's still at chemo and I got a call from my sister. "Go see Mom".
It's bad.

Prayers outbound, DG. And remember that while it's easy to feel you must be strong all the time, there's also a need to let go sometimes. Cry, pray, unload your pain and fear to another person and to God.
Big boys do cry, and must on occasion.

I went over to see Mom. She's going down hill fast. She's bounced back before but this time I think not.
It's a horrible thing to see. She knew it was me but she is in a lot of pain. Skin and bones.
I haven't seen her in over a week trying to take care of Dad.
While he was in danger from the blood infection I tried to be there for him as much as possible. He was out of it and fought with everyone at the hospital. My brother and I could get him to calm down and eat when others couldn't.
Dad will be released soon to go to a rehab center but I fear he will never see Mom again.
I tried to get him to leave the castle sooner but many bad choices were made beyond my control.
