For those who think DA shooting is not as precise:
1000 yard shot with a 929. DA (the revolver has a bobbed hammer), standing. I would not bet much I could see the steel target, let alone hit it, even with a scoped rifle - and he hit a balloon.

I'll NEVER be able to do that, except maybe by accident.

Remarkable shot...we'll never know how much tinkering he had to do before he found the range. I knew as soon as I saw the steel, he was counting on splatter. Still tough to do.

He definitely is an exceptional shooter...
We all have to admit luck did help out a bit in this shot. As they say in the flying game, "I would rather be more lucky than good."
However in Jerry M's case, he brings quite a bit of "good" to the fight to help the luck along.

I used to practice double action revolver shooting at bowling pins at 150 meters. Makes your trigger pull clean and even. And you are not the least afraid to use DA after such practice.

Heck...It's impossible.......
It's impossible that hickok45 hit an 80 yard gong with a pocket pistol. This is beyond impossible.

Pffft, I could do that. If it weren't for my darned peripheral neuropathy, I'd make that shot and get it on video to show y'all.

I took my CZ 85db in 9mm luger out to 100 yards using 3' of Kentucky windage with no scope using wolf 115gr fmj ammo. But 1,000 yards he's fair man for sure. That's farther than a m16 could shoot congrats.

Amazing, even if he splattered the target...getting on there at 1000yrds with that much holdover is insane.

Hanging upside down at the foul line all net?
That's some shooting. Elmer Keith is loving this.

Wouldn't be able to see a school bus at 1000 yards much less a 12 inch balloon.

Whenever I see Jerry Miculek making these ridiculous shots, I think of the movie "Men in Black," he's not of this world.

In the real world I have an ex-leo type friend that used to shoot competively while working with Idaho State. He has a highly modified model 19 that has the most amazing double action trigger I have ever experienced. He told me that it was a $1000 trigger job and I have to believe him because it is just that cotton pickin good.

When you can put eight shots on a target in less than a second you gotta be good. A thousand yards? That's almost in the next county. But I do love to watch him shoot in these vids.
