I too have received a few speeding tickets and parking tickets. I paid them all - because I deserved them - and that was the law.

The town I grew up in had a great deal with parking tickets. If you paid the ticket within 3 hours of getting it - it was only $1 - and didn't go on your "record".

Well since its confession time, in 1958 I received 32 tickets and in 1959 I received 28 traffic tickets. Most at one time was 11 here and 7 in Oklahoma. True story. I have not had a ticket since then. Guess I got it all out of my system early. Not bragging but just the facts. Still got them all. Kind of hard to explain to my two boys when they were growing up. No one knew for years.

P.S. I forgot to add that a few of those tickets landed me in the slammer.

Back in my wild days, I built a '75 Toyota Corolla SR5 hardtop up to run around on twisty turny country roads with.
That was back before it was called drifting, to some of us it was just a way to get around a corner quickly. We called it rally turns.
One day I was racing a Trans Am and basically gave him a drivin' lesson around an ogee curve.
I stopped at a fillin' station and a police cruiser pulls up along side me. I was informed that a police officer was drivin' that Trans Am and he clocked me going 80 around that ogee, "we've been watching you."
I almost told the officer that I was doing 85, HE was doing 80 but I decided against it.

Then there's the time I went sideways through a yellow traffic signal turning left onto a main road, tires smokin'.
Then I saw the flashing lights behind me.
Okay, how many violations do I have. Smog equipment removed, no muffler, reckless driving, speeding....
I pulled over and he just blew right past me.
Whew!!

1958 I was racing someone in my 1950 champion starlight coup. I was going wide open in second gear overdrive. Out of the corner of my eye I seen a foot beat cop scratching out for a call box. About that time I hit a built up rail road track jumping me high in the air and I hit my head on the roof. No seat belt to hold me down. I really think it knocked me out for a second or so. I kind of come to about a block farther down the street still going straight. I was a nurd with a 90 hp Studebaker, not a 450 hp Camero. No seat belts in those days so I guess things were relative. There! I feel better! 56 years ago. Will this go on my record?

In 2001, I got a ticket on I 95 in N.C.
I was clocked at 100 mph even.
In a rented Ford Aerostar van.
I have a living witness that was in the passenger seat, and the ticket and cancelled $500 check as proof.

No, that's not my only ticket, but it was my last (so far) one.
I'm also very surprised the company still rents to me.

It is written that confession is good for the soul.
It usually better to check the statues of limitation before you do that.
Remember those drive a car ads? One time I drove a TBird from ft Worth out to LA.
Some where out in AZ I got tangled up with a really fast Chevy. We were racing on a nice two Lane road. It was going well for me until he pulled in the left Lane and started around.
About that time we hit a bad section of road. Those cars started rocking together. I was a feared they would bang together. I backed off. Then he backed off.
About that time I see a state trooper sitting under a shade cactus.
Who me? I'm driving the speed limit.

Believe me there is not enough bandwidth for me to go into details of my younger days and adventures. Actually I must have been blessed when it came to tickets , arrests or getting caught, To think back on the stuff we did amazing we are alive and in one piece!! It scares me to think about it.

Hey I had a 1975 Toyo Sr5 Liftback , Loved that care I zipped all over the Midwest in that car!! Then it was onto Muscle, big blocks, no seat belts and total reckless idiotic driving!

I have done some really stupid things while driving. But I ain't had an accident or a ticket and I feel that the good Lord has blessed me that way. I hope that the blessings continue.

Most my tickets while still living at home were for riding motorcycles without a license. Problem was I couldn't just mail a fine. Had to go to court with at least one parent. Dad taking time off work to appear in court with me... those were dark days.

I still run with scissors....

I used to be a bit of a hooligan on my motor scooter.

Can't afford it these days, and I don't bounce like I used to.

It was 1954 and I was 19. My ride was a '51 Mercury convertible, black with a tan top. I met this beautiful blonde at Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland. One Sunday, we drove to her uncle's farm...........

In a small college town, in the wee hours of the morning, I was doing about 75mph on an empty 30mph main street.

The officer asked "Do you know how fast you were going!?" I politely said "No". He either didn't have radar, or didn't have it turned on, so he let me off with a lecture.

Wait a minute, "traffic tickets"? That's not enough information.
So, now Caj just goes to the Playboy website and does.......
I used to get speeding tickets about twice a year. My insurance never went up. Don't know how that worked. The last one I got was a little over 10 years ago. It was for 103 in a 70. I was lucky, the ticket said that 34 over and up was "see the judge."
