Isn't Wm. Shatner personally anti-gun, as is his pal the once-Vulcan?
But I must say, I liked these scenes. Rather he'd just popped the first guy in the head, though and it'd be sounder, legally. Shooting him in the feet is probably legally "maiming" and might well counter a self defense plea. But TV is TV, not life...
Could anyone see which rifle he assembled? Sort of reminded me of the one the assassin used in, "The Day of the Jackal", which was a superb movie, worthy of Frederick Forsyth's book.

For whatever reason, I never watched the show although I've seen some of the Denny Crane moments.
Very entertaining.

You know, it's a TV show, right? Not much to do with reality as entertaining as it might be. Sort of like the network newscasts.
That's an Armalite AR-7. The original design was made for the USAF as a survival rifle in .22 Hornet. The AR-7 is chambered for .22LR. Breaks down and all of the pieces go into the stock. Which floats.
Armalite made them, Charter Arms made a version, and now Henry makes a version.
I've always kind of wanted one, but just haven't pulled the trigger yet. If you know what I mean.

Appears to be an AR-7 of one version or another. Can't see enough detail to narrow it down.

Capn Kirk is pro-gun. He collects the types like Charlton Heston collected--Flintlocks etc. During his short-lived reality show,on one episode--you briefly got to see part of his collection. Didnt know Spock was anti-gun? he sure seemed like an expert Phaser-shooter.

Shatner was interviewed in some gun mag back in the 1960s.
He discussed collecting and shooting guns and horseback riding as I
recall. Not anti-gun then.
