Wow 61 I feel so sorry for you.

I just came back from getting my newspapers at the general store. I am still wearing dungaree cargo shorts and a t shirt and the temp was 39.

I try to harden myself to the weather by dressing as light as I can for as long as I can. Being I worked outside most of my life in upper NYS I think that helps when it gets SUPER COLD.

Went out to feed up the animals before sunrise this morning and the thermometer sat at 57 degrees. There was steam coming off the pond. Autumn is here.

It's 49 degrees here this morning, but we're supposed to get up to 81 degrees later on in the day. I can hardly wait until it gets a little cooler in the day so I can get a few projects done before winter. Currently, it's been too darn hot to do much outside.

Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year.

I've been working on a pole barn for my tractor and some other stuff since June. I was only able to handle the heat and humidity for a couple of hours at the time late in the afternoon. Yesterday I worked out there for six hours. I got hot but not the super wet sweaty hot that it's been. It's nice and cool this morning. The end is in sight for the pole barn. As soon as I fill it up I'll probably need another.

Went to northern Wisconsin last week.
First couple of days we were hot in shorts and t-shirts.
Then it rained, sleeted, AND snowed!
Next day the rain was gone and it was quite pleasant.

Ahhhhhh Autumn

39* this morning when I walked the dogs. I'm gonna have to change out my dog walking flip-flops for my insulated hiking boots soon. That dew is a might bit chilly on the toes at 5:30am.

Coming home from the range today I saw a car carrier leaving town heading south, looks like the snow birds are getting out of Dodge, the roads will be a lot safer now.

Just returned from Russell Orchards in Ipswich MA, what a gorgeous New England day, temp in the high 60's.

Purchased 2 huge Pumpkin Raisin Muffins which just came out of the oven, 1/2 gallon Natural Apple Cider, 2 large Oatmeal/Raising/Walnut cookies, 2 each Empire/Courtland/Honeycrisp/McIntosh apples and a dozen Apple Donuts.

Backed goods all made from scratch, no preservatives.

Party time this evening, I'll pass on dinner tonight

The first bite of one of those apples and your cheeks get sucked in.

Did I mention that I love this time of year.

This is my favorite time of year in MA. From just after Labor Day until about the third week in October. I tell people who ask that this is the time of year to visit Boston. Nice temperatures, zero humidity, sunny days. It gets cool and crisp at night, but a light jacket or sweater will suffice.

Today it's in the high 60s or low 70s, bright and sunny. I wish I could find a place where the weather is like this year round. I'd move there in a heartbeat.

A month from now, the leaves will be gone, the scenery will have gone from green to a depressing brown-grey. I'll have to put on layers of clothes to go for a bike ride. A few weeks after that, the bikes will be put up for the winter and I'll be relegated to riding a stationary bike until late March or early April.

I won't even talk about the snow, ice, sub freezing temperatures, clearing the driveway, and roads narrowed to one lane by snow and ice.

I LIVE for the Fall! Leaves turning and falling, smell of fireplaces burning, Holidays are coming, and my Dog loves rolling in the leaves (especially just after we bath and groom him). Skeet, Trap & Sporting Clays, Pheasant Hunting, and LOTS of shooting outdoors with no bugs or humidity to make me sweat all over my stocks & scopes.

Hookers wearing socks, kids selling stolen hoodies from a shopping cart, winos huddled around dryer vents, new graffiti colors on the overpasses, the sound of my ac compressor being drug down the street to the scrap dealer, the smell of meth labs gearing up for the holiday rush, the chorus of car alarms going off in succession, the tinkle-tinkle of store front windows being broken, bricks being given out as gift certificate, the distant sound of riot guns, the glow of burning mattresses and the closeness of families huddled behind triple lock security doors.
I love fall in the city.

I don't believe I could take fall in the city, not enough going on.

This morning it was 78 and this afternoon it was 99 thought I was going to have to get a sweater out.

Leaves are turning in north Alabama too, and the temps at night are downright chilly. Put the transparent targa roof back in the Corvette; can't use it in summer here, unless you like riding in an oven.

We put the flannel covers on the bed next it's the flannel sheets. I'm as snug as a bug in a rug. As we get older being warm is very important.
I can handle the cold out side too. The winter was once my workplace when logging firewood. I never wore nothing but a set of the one piece long John's with the trap door, a sweat shirt and a woolen shirt in ten degree weather. Those husqvarna 100cc saws were smoking. Trust me when you hit the privy(outhouse) @ 4:30am your not reading the newspaper.
Bacon, eggs, sausage and toast plus hot coffee never smelled so good in the camp. I was an animal in the woods and the trees feared me.
It was the best time of my life. I was the healthiest too. Hard work never hurt anyone.

Now I'm older, wiser and feel the cold. I purchased all those new insulated hunting camo clothes and I'm warm again. I bought the stuff on clearance from bass pro shops and cabelas. Even the insulated boots from sportsman guide are warm too there 1,000 grams of thinsulate.
Again this modern insulated stuff really works. I can sit all day in my stand hunting when it's very cold.

There's nothing like the fLannels on the bed at night.

I love fall. I love working night shift in the fall. Short sleeves with the window down counteracts the vest being so darn hot.

I wore short sleeve uniform shirts well into January last year. Got some weird looks standing out on a call in short sleeves at -20.

I've always been able to stay warm. Comes in handy on cold nights when the wife wants to be close because I'm warm

I left earlier this morning than usual to do some walking. I noticed that even out in the sun--one can feel Fall weather and im lovin every second of it. Deppoiunts and humidity is lower and it feels absolutely: F_A_N_T_A_S_T_I_C!!!!!!

This is the kind of "feel" that has to go with the Peanuts cartoon theme..................

It's like 28 here. Celsius. That would be about 82 Fahrenheit. No sign of fall but it has cooled down a bit from what it was.

92 at noon.... still in my undershorts. No need to actually get dressed unless I go in to town or something.

We don't use air conditioning my place is ten degrees colder after 10pm.
In the summertime and the wintertime it's ten degrees colder 24/7.

I'm a little more hardcore than most of my buddies, I wore shorts and a sweatshirt today, it was in the 40s when I left the house, high was around 75. Not too many days like this left, the gardeners are enjoying the last bit of ripening sunshine and lack of killing frost. Melons are kinda tricky around here, gotta get a hothouse start and pray for an extended season like we have right now. I love fall, never have trouble staying warm, cooling off has always been a hassle.
