I've just acquired a Weaver 330C scope, which as many of you know, was used on the U.S. M1903A4 sniper rifles of World War II. Unfortunately, it has a broken part - a small piece of stamped spring steel that serves to provide the "clicks" of elevation and windage on the finger knobs. Here's a pic:
I understand Gibbs Rifle Company has made reproduction M73B1 scopes (identical to the Weaver 330C), and I have an e-mail in them to see if they can help. It would be better to have an all-original part to maintain authenticity, however.
Does anyone have a lead, or suggestions as to where I can obtain the part? Better yet, do you, by stroke of luck, have one?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
John
