Hannah Update
It is with a heavy heart that I pass on this update on my daughter-in-law. Her cancer has been determined to be incurable according to the doctors at the Mayo Clinic. Any further treatment has only a five percent chance of helping. Her cancer will never go into remission, it will always be in her body. Chemo treatments always landed her in the hospital for a few days after treatment. Due to this, Hannah has made the choice for quality of life with her family. She has maybe two years according to the medical field. We are still believing in a miracle, I've seen several in our church, so I have faith that God can heal her. Thank you again for your prayers and concern, keep praying as she may cross your mind. Keep her husband and children in prayer also. God bless everyone.

I am very sad to read this. I have prayed for her at least once a day and will continue.
I think I understand and support her decision to spend whatever time the Lord allows her in a quality life rather than to be ill with the chemo.
I will pray for a miracle and healing and my adult Sunday School Class will also pray for her.
I am sure there are many Believers here on this site who are already praying or will join in the prayers.

Padre, I am so sorry. Ruthie and I have prayed since you first informed us. The last 16 months I have fought stage 4 cancer and glory in every day I have. We don't know you but Ruthie and I have fallen in love with your family. Now is when you will be a rock for Hannah. She is blessed to have you as are we of this forum.
In His name my brother.

Padre:
We also will continue to pray for your Daughter-in-Law and the entire family. I've faced a similar health challenge and know in my heart there is hope in every turn of the road. I applaud her decision to spend quality time with the ones close to her. Through the Grace of God there are miracles that happen every moment. Always hope and believe.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Oftentimes Doctors are wrong in their predictions. Please let her know that she should always keep her head up and think positive. I know, it's easy for me to say. But it wouldn't be the first time that a cancer patient cheated death. Miracles do happen sometimes.

For Hannah, I just said a prayer and asked Saint Peregrine for his help.
I will continue to include her in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the update. I'll still keep praying for healing for her as well as peace and strength for her and you. (The family.)
On the bright side doctors aren't always right, my grandma was suppose to have max five years left in 91, she's still plugging along.

Terribly sorry to hear this, Padre, but I respect her decision. My late wife and, more recently, my brother made similar choices.
Keep hoping and praying for that miracle. But one thing I've learned in my fairly lengthy life is that whatever I must face, I'll be given what it takes to get through it.
Prayers and all good wishes for her and the whole family are on the way.

Prayer continues from Texas for healing, peace, strength, and comfort.
She travels a difficult path now. May the stones be removed and find joy along the way.

Sorry, peace be with you and I hope for a miracle. My cancer survivor story is a friends father who was told at 53 that he had a year or less to live. The family made the appropriate preparations and prepared, but 5 years later he was still working to retirement and getting around fine. At 66, he was again told now for sure, he only had a two years at the most to live. Sure enough he saw his 75th birthday when they told him again that it is all over. Needless to say, he lived on, his wife died he danced at his grand daughters wedding and his great grandchildren were born and got to actively play with great gran pa. He died when he was 88 when his drunk pregnant 39 year girl friend drove them head on into a truck. I imagine that he was happy the whole way. You have a right to a miracle as much as anyone. My prayers for peace no matter what God gives you and your family.

Padre, we appreciate your updating us on Hannah. I have been wondering how she was doing after your earlier posts about the cancer diagnosis. She and your family have been in my prayers and will continue to be.
I admire her choice of quality of life for the time that has left, which I hope will be longer than her doctors have estimated. Her decision reminds all of us that tomorrow is never guaranteed in this life, and that making the most of today -- with the strength God gives us for today -- is the best way to show our gratitude for the gift of life He gives.
Hannah is an amazing person, and is and will be an inspiration to those who know and love her, and those like us here on this Forum who can admire her from afar. I am sure you will let her know that she touches many lives, and that we are pulling hard for her as she faces whatever is to come.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
