Default Debate

Sometimes there is no room for it. I've noticed a clash of wills over in the office about signature length. An impassioned yet reasoned plea for special treatment. A simple answer and request for burden of proof.

Some folks just don't comprehend that democracy is not always the answer. It won't work in families with small children and is surely not the case here.

I've come to appreciate the evenhandedness of Lee's justice having discovered the disappearance of a post or two and the dulcet tone of the ding. I want to hang in the ape cage with this bunch of bananas and if that means biting my tongue or twiddling my thumbs before I post I will. If putting my wants or needs in the forefront will waste others time I'll shelve the motion.

Pretty simple concept.
Love it or leave it.

It's a benevolent dictatorship here in the "ape cage".
Hang around with us monkeys.

I've been enjoying this forum for one year this month. Learned a lot, had many good laughs and have tried to contribute as much as my limitations allow. Got my first ding about a week ago for an inappropriate picture. When I first saw the message I thought one of the mods was wishing me an atta boy for being here one year. WRONG !!
Didn't think that the picture was nasty at all (even for kids). Guess the mods have higher standards than me. . Oh well, I'll have to watch it in the future.

One of the things I REALLY like about the forum, is the fact, we are expected to conduct ourselves as gentlemen. Ya sometimes it can be a trial to do so, but those are the rules.

It can also be a fun exercise ,to see just how far one can get their toe on the line. Believe me I've overstepped it once or twice...

I've been gigged twice, stupid post and having bad days involved with being treated for cancer so I don't sweat the small stuff and will watch my posting from here on out.
I do enjoy the board and the people who come here, so I will try to watch my P's and Q's accordingly

I've felt the sting of being suspended before. Never knew how long three days could be.
It's true that I did get a lot of leatherwork done but I didn't know what to do with myself while I waited for stuff to dry.
Got some stuff caught up
Now there's been a lot of stuff that I almost posted but didn't want to risk another "time out."

Nice one.

I have had disagreements about some dings and trouble understanding a few decisions by the mods. But this remains the most civil, generally courteous, helpful and often wonderfully goofy forum I've found.

Come to my place and I'll set some rules about what is acceptable and what isn't. Works that way here too.

Being a "mod" has to be a tough job. I want to "step over the line" sometimes, and am sure the mods would like to take an occasional "venture" also. Thanks to them for a job well done.
