Default Log furniture

Has anyone ever built any log or rustic furniture. I have a camp in Maine and have considered replacing some of the traditional furniture with log furniture, especially the beds. Looking for any tips or experience from anyone that has attempted this kind of project. I guess getting closer to retirement has peaked my interest in my other love, woodworking.

Ever check out Cowboys and indians magazine in the grocery store? Their ads are better than the articles and there's lots of log furniture. Or you can just see it at sites like these here. Sounds like a good idea you got there.

Let those logs cure for a few years first.
