Default Partial Mystery

This is a partial mystery plane cause it's only part of a plane.
And I certainly do know some folks who flew back here.
There were a long way from home and a long way from the rest of the crew.

B-52 gunner's compartment is of course correct.
Way back in my puppy dog days, I was a B-52 crew-member.
And had the privilege of flying 24 hour airborne alert missions.
That meant that Our Gunner, John Birch would be back there in that tail section for 25-26 hours.
He did look a little depleted when he finally got out.
Not that it was that conformable up front.
