Smith and Wesson stock price
Anyone know why S & W stock went up $1.97 today? Ruger went up over 4 dollars. What happened?

Think the NRA Convention helped? I know Ruger bought back $2.8 million of its stock recently which may have caused the spike.

Sell it NOW!
S&W doesn't pay any dividend. Ruger, small dividend. Buy the guns, but there are much better stocks for investment and dividends.

Agreed! I know it's done pretty well, but for a number of reasons, I wouldn't own it as a stand-alone stock. And if I did have it as a stand-alone stock, I'd sell it now that it took a jump. YMMV.

Sell if you can. I bought last year when it was up. As soon as I recover I'm selling all my shares. In the past 8 months I've learned about investing. Dividend stocks only from here on out.
