Member in hospital
I just wanted to let you all know that Reddog had a stroke and is in the hospital. This happened on April 7th. He can't use his right leg, arm or hand and has trouble speaking. He was moved to the rehab center 2 days ago so hopefully will get better with all the therapy. He enjoys this site so much.

Thanks for letting us know Patsy. By knowing we can help hold him up and give him best wishes for a good recovery and hopefully he can get back to us (and you) soon. We don't like it when we notice that a member hasn't been around in a while. I don't know what kind of shooter you are, but you're welcome to join in. There are some women here, but the place could really use more of the feminine touch.  
Do tell Reddog that we are thinking of him.

Yup, physical therapy's very important. It's kept me out of a wheelchair so far.

Prayers from Texas for Reddog & you, Patsy. Thanks for letting us know. Did a pretty good stretch in the Cardiac ICU myself a couple of years ago, & I'm here to tell you that positive thinking, prayer, & hard work go a long way. It got me off my butt & ambulatory when my doctor was talking about me getting a "Rascal". I have the therapists to thank for it. Keep your heads up & hang in there!

Reddog, hope you will be better soon! Just do what the therapist want you to do.
My wife had 2 strokes within 2 weeks several years ago. It affected her hand, arm, leg & her speech. Between the therapist, our daughter & myself working with her she has made a near complete recovery. Her only problem is when she speaks too fast she messes her words up so I have to remind her to slow down.
So good luck with your recovery! You are in our prayers.
