What does CAI mean when stamped on a revolver ? I saw one for sale that said " CAI import marked ".
Chances are they won't tell you or the person you talk to doesn't have access to that info. But depending on the firearm you can get the general area of the world or narrow it downThanks.
I wonder where it was imported from. I will check with CAI.

Canada, Austrian, Belgium, France, Puerto Rico all have imported S&W revolvers in the last 40 years. I have a 13-2 from Puerto Rico and the gun was made in 1982Being that it is a revolver, it is probably one that was exported from the US during WWII or an English Army revolver. The majority of those US exported revolvers went to both England and China so there is a good chance it came from either place.
CAI=Run Away
My opinion comes from first hand knowledge; I once visited their "production facility" In St. Albans, VT.
I truly thought it was a half way house for the homeless, with drinking/drug issues.
Run Away!
