Default Just a story

I probably won't tell this as well as I'd Like.
I went to see my urologist last week ,an attractive female asian Dr.I had prostate cancer just shy of 5 years ago.She did the surgery and I've been fine since.I was talking about getting older
(soon 60 ). She pointed out that I stayed active and would do just fine.I told her my dad had always stayed active until he passed in March at 84. I told her I asked my dad once : when you were in the Marines in Korea with a 100,000 Chinese shooting at you did you picture making another 60 plus years ? Not hardly was his reply.
My Dr. asked, did you know I'm Korean ? My grandparents were in Inchon when the North invaded. They lost everything. my mother age 7 carried her little brother most of the way to the southern tip.Not up on my Korean geography, but that's quite a ways. So,she says if not for men like your dad I wouldn't be her today.Next time you're thinking of him, tell him thanks.
So , my dad fights in Korea to set the path for the Dr. who cures my cancer.Made me feel good. Thanks dad.

Yep you never know what a good dead does. God bless your dad buddy!

Mine served in WWII driving landing craft up on Guadalcanal, New Holandia and others he wouldn't talk about. He was VERY glad to have made it but also drank too much to tone down the memories....I don't blame him. He passed away in 1998 at the ripe old age of 74.

When it's your time it's up. Better make sure your going north....not south...if you catch my drift.
