From the link I can't determine why the judge made that ruling but it does not surprise. He's conducting a murder trial and can't have it derailing out into investigating the incompetence of the folks who were running the F & F show. That's another matter and one we'd all like to see addressed, but never will.

Further update:
Extradition ordered for a number of imprisioned cartel members, at least 2 of whom are linked to weapons and explosives /Fast and Furious, accused of murdering ICE agent Jaime Zapata near San Luis Potosi. Agent Zapata was unarmed(by Mexican law),in a vehicle on the highway with another agent who was not injured.
Trial dates not set, no doubt some may be witnesses in the Brian Terry trial. Jean Baptist Kingery is among them.
He was released by a U.S.Federal judge in 2011 when apprehended at the border after being caught with grenades and ammunition, then fled to Mexico.
These are all bad bad guys.
