I have one of those. They get more expensive every year and insurance doesn't cover them. I've needed Epi twice. My doctor the first time was horrified to hear that I'd given myself a jab of veterinary epinephrine so he made sure I had a script for the next time.

Yeah, I've got two of those. I carry one till the fluid changes color (although that's never happened that anyone could tell) or 6 months has passed, discard it and then I carry the other.

A friend's brother in law got stung by a wasp while about 30 miles from medical care, and he'd forgotten his EpiPen. He died before he could get to help.

I got Sip's point or joke, just not real hilarious to me.

Anaphylaxis is not something to trifle with. But I did get the OP's joke!

Anaphylaxis is scary, at any moment the body can decide it is allergic to anything in this world. a real phenomenon.

I thought it was darn funny. And yes I have sacrificed political correctness, appropriate audience appreciation, and even good taste a few times in my quest for humor. I need it so desperately it's a risk I'm willing to take.

Sip ain't PC, I'm not either. But at least he doesn't get in trouble for it.:D
