Default Need some serious discussion....

There needs to be some serious discussion on whether us old codgers should shave or not....

Problem, as we old codgers get older, our skin no longer has the elasticity as it did when we were younger. Therefore it becomes hard and harder to obtain a really close shave.

No matter how many times I go over the same area, using one blade, or multiple, no matter what type of "shaving cream" I use, primarily plain ole soap. But I've used about everything that is a liquid, except Dawn dish soap. But I just can't seem to get that really smooth face that I once used to get.

The barber says it's because as we get older, we lose that elasticity in our skin....

So, is the answer to just TRY and grow a beard and be done with it?

My problem with that is, if I did, then when I smoke one of my cigars, I'd look like Lassie, taking a squat.

Ah, the problems and decisions of growing older.

What say you?
