Beautiful. I like how the owl has eyes locked to the viewer.
Coming in for a landing on top of the camera/post up high to do some scouting, perhaps.

really cool!
I was fortunate to see one outside of Quincy, WA a couple (5?) years ago. Was so surprised, I didn't realize what it was until it was gone! We get them this far south every few years.

I love all the owls. They fascinate me with their eerily silent flight and other amazing adaptation for hunting.

It wouldn't be a Snowy Owl without that white stuff.

Very cool. They were overpopulated a few years ago, ran out of lemmings up north, and were seen hunting all down the east coast as far as Jacksonville FL. It's always a thrill to see the big raptors. We're starting to see a few eagle nests here in western MA along the CT River and at a big local reservoir.

Sweet.............
We are lucky enough to go to Calif. on a few lakes to go fishing and on many you get to see Bald Eagles or Osprey.
On one trip we saw two Osprey attacking a Bald Eagle with a fish in its talons. After four passes the Eagle was into a tree, to enjoy his lunch.
One heck of a show.
