I don't have a cat yet, but when I do, I'll put him on here.

This is Toby, he's a rescue that found me in Az while I was visiting family for Christmas. He was a a stray (actually a dump) in the neighborhood, caught him stealing food and managed to interact with him. From that point on he was my cat. He would wait for me to walk the dog or come outside and he'd be right there. I couldn't leave him there when I came back to Co.

I've had an all black cats for over 25 years, first was Niki, she lived to be 18, I've had Toby for a few years now.

He runs the neighborhood, everybody knows him, he visits the neighbors. If I'm just walking the dog around here, Toby joins us, he even poops when the dog does.

There's a guy who walks 2 Labs around here, he has to cross over before my house, because Toby will sit in the middle of the sidewalk and not budge, 'my yard !'


Opps, Toby's at the door, need to let him in.

Barney! Found him abandoned 10 years ago in the desert.

This is Zachary.


We got him many years ago to keep our big old cat Bluey company. Bluey was an older, overweight female grey tabby.
After Bluey died, Zachary was a lonely boy.

A coupla years ago, this little fellow came into our lives.


He was an about 8 months old feral cat. We had him checked out by a vet. and he became Zachary's little buddy. We named him Natayo, the Blackfoot word for cat.




Well, recently Zachary died, he was almost 16 years old.


Poor Little Natayo spent 2 days in a dark room. He'd walk around making the most mournful pathetic sounds.
We decided to get him a girlfriend. We ended up getting a coupla sisters from the local Humane Society.

We found Charley on a hot blacktop parking lot when he was about an hour old, abandoned by his mother. My wife bottle fed him and then he was adopted by our Yellow Lab. They became best friends and loved to play together.

Jocko, when we first got him, ten years ago. He's bigger and fatter now. Still loves catnip!

Saw this cat at a B&B we stayed at a couple of years ago. I've never seen one colored quite like this before.



This is the neighbors cat, I was laying on the ground try to get a photograph of some flowers and she walked up to me.

Wish I could hit the "Like" button more than once for this post. Bravo for rescuing Charley.

We have 6. Five indoor-outdoor and one remaining barn cat the coyote hasn't managed to kill. First pic is FuzzyBoy (white) and Arrow. Both were feral kittens we snatched from their wild mama. Fuzzy passed two years ago at 16. Arrow is now 18+ and doing well.

Here is our cat Newt. I rescued him from the street where someone dumped him. He was a starving skeleton when I found him near death according to the vet. Now, he has weight issues and we are working on that. This is Newt saying to me he wants to play. He arches his back and gets these crazy eyes and bounces on his tippy toes. Then he rolls over which means "pet my belly so I can attack your hand". I fall for it every time.

I'm so glad you adopted two new girls and that everyone is now content. I enjoyed watching the SPCA and introduction video. Interesting dynamics.

He is an English Setter from Ryman lines. I have two from October Setters in Idaho.

Here's Kona and Bootsy Collins, working hard on a Sunday afternoon.



The black cat, Kona, was a Christmas stray, found on a concrete floor as a kitten in 2002. Kona had kidney failure a bit over two years ago, after getting outside and eating a poisonous plant. He required daily fluids for several weeks, then every other day for six weeks, moving to once-weekly over about six months.

He has his own IV station that I fabbed up out of aluminum, and is far better with the whole thing than I ever could be.


Bootsy Collins will hopefully celebrate his 20th birthday with us in May. He is - like many of us - on heart and thyroid medication, but otherwise in good shape. (knocks furiously on wood.)



I heartily enjoy seeing all of these pics. Dogs seem to steal the limelight on gun forums, so it's nice to see that tough gun guys love their cats too !
